Discovering Artists

Meet our featured artist Jacob Smith whose stage name is Byesadboy. He is a 26-year-old musician from Groveland, Massachusetts and he first started making music back in 2018, when his friend, an engineer, asked him to help make music in the studio. He wanted to continue making music after he got some views from the song “What do you say,” that they made that night. He also wants to build a community and be vulnerable with the people listening.

STYLE

His style of music is sad e-boy music mixed with hip-hop and pop-punk. He is pretty versatile and likes to explore all genres when creating music. But recently, he has geared towards pop-punk.

His most successful track is “Overdose.” It is one of his most vulnerable songs where he opens up about addiction and drug abuse. He is glad people found such a strong connection to the song and feel seen along with other people who relate with addiction.

INSPIRATION

He is inspired by The Strokes, Red Hot Chili Peppers, blink-182, Nirvana, Weezer, Green Day, Sum 41, Linkin Park, My Chemical Romance, Juice Wrld, and many more.

Byesadboy wants to show his audiences that it is ok to be sad, depressed, and lonely. We are not alone and can find peace with finding that connection with other people.

He has recently dropped a single called “Grow Up” featuring Late Boomers Club from his new upcoming album called “100% Boy Tears.”
